Passport to Adventure
New Twilight Camp Format
Two evenings and a Saturday morning to accommodate family's busy schedules!

Calling all Cub Scouts entering the first grade through 5th Fall 2018. Come and explore "Passport to Adventure". Fun activities, games and scout skills plus archery and BB guns.

When: June 7&8th, 2018: 4:00pm - 8:30pm with optional Family Camp overnighter ($5pp additional collected on-site); June 9th: Saturday 9am - 12:30pm.:
Who: All registered Cub Scouts (Tigers, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos by June 1, 2018)
Fees:
Early Bird Registration by April 30th, 11:59 pm
$40.00 for Scouts
$10.00 for Adult Volunteers, Walking Den Leaders, Jr. Staff, Adult Staff
May 1st and after:
$55.00 per Scout
$10.00 per Adult Volunteer/Staff

Blackland Prairie Activities 2018-2019

BP is known for our creative, over-the-top events. We welcome any registered youth and adult to play on the Activities Committee planning, executing, and enjoying our District events.

Twilight Camp "Passport to Adventures"

June 7-9th, 2018

For cub scouts entering the 1st grade through 5th, the new Weekender Camp is held at a centrally located venue in our District. This 'weekender' starts at 4:00 pm till 8:30 pm Thursday and Friday, with an optional Family camp over Friday night ($5pp collected on-site). Saturday morning activities will continue 9am to 12:30pm for all. This is a new format to accommodate busy family schedules. Check the events calendar for more information and registration.

Summertime Fun Part 2:

Look for a morning of fun events in Mid-June and Mid-July.

Cub-A-Palooza

Mh4>October 6-7th, 2018 @ Camp Wisdom

This event is our annual Cub Scout Fun Day. Staffed by Boy Scout Troops, OA Arrowmen, and Cub Scout Pack Adults. Family fun activities including BB Guns, archery, and more! Save the date.

Webelos-on-the-Water

November 2-4, 2018 @ TRJ

An event to help Webelos acquire skills and requirements for Webelos rank and Arrow of Light. Staffed by Boy Scout Troops or patrols, this campout is held in November at a Circle Ten camp. Attended by Dens or individuals, Webelos and their parents leave with a better understanding of what Boy Scouting is all about.

Annual District Annual Awards & Eagle Recognition Dinner

January 20th, 2018 @ St. Monica's Family Center

Camporee - The Mystery of Hell's Gate

April 13-15th, 2018 @ Camp Constantin

Only for Boy Scouts, this event is held each spring to test their skills, character, and leadership. Run and staffed by the District's Order of the Arrow Makade Aki Chapter and adult volunteers, Boy Scout patrols compete to win the District’s Eagle trophy and bragging rights for the next year. After a full day of competitive themed events, all participants share in the community dinner followed by the OA’s mystical “calling out” ceremony around a blazing campfire. Sunday morning after the Scouts Own service, the coveted Eagle trophy is awarded to the winning Patrol. For more information & registration click here.

This is an event to recognize those Adult Volunteers who make scouting work at the Den, Unit, and District level. Please give those volunteers an AT-A-BOY by nominating them for the Spirit of Blackland Prairie Award. Also, the Class of 2017 Eagle Scouts are recognized with the announcement of the Outstanding Eagle Project.

Like to Brainstorm? Join our committee brainstorming themes, events and activities. The committee meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm at Whole Foods - 2nd Floor, Preston Rd & Forest Lane. Come, play, and have fun!

Earn the National Summertime Pack Award

Keep the momentum going in your Pack by attending these three half-day events. If you attend all three, you'll earn the National Summertime Pack Award.

June 7, 8, & 9th - Twilight Camp

July 14 - WATER WORKS - Water fun with slip n slide, water balloons, water rockets & more - 9am-11am

$10 per scout per event

Families Welcome. Please bring water bottle, sun screen, bug spray, and towel to outdoor events.
